Creswell Crags...

If writing historical fiction is your thing, and you want to follow in the footsteps of writers such as Jean Auel  whose characters are based in Pre-historic times, or you are a writer of children's books such as the author Geronimo Stilton then Creswell Crags on the Derbyshire Nottinghamshire border could be the ideal place to start your research of our Ice-age ancestors. Take a walk through the limestone gorge, whilst soaking up the atmosphere or book a visit to the caves and discover more about the historic finds and examples of British Palaeolithic cave art which have ensured that Creswell Crags is not only designated as a place of specific scientific interest, but a great place to visit with it's visitor centre and museum.
