The Wobble and the website...

As we reach the first week in February, and that burst of energy of a new year - new you begins to fade, reality kicks in...routines become routine, familiar, old habits resurface and new ones fall by the wayside, the certainty wavers...

In the later months of last year, I felt driven to change direction, to pivot from Illustration work and to focus on creating original artwork, not figurative but abstract and intuitive. So with all the verve and vim, I looked to redesigning my website, redefining my brand, ( if I ever had one!).   I set about creating new artwork, researching website design, re-reading the wonderful books by Fiona Humberstone, "How to Style Your Brand" and "Brand Brilliance", taking photographs and writing copy, full steam ahead...and then came that moment - the wobble! The one where you question everything you are doing,  the little voice that rents space in your head which asks have you really gone and lost the plot this time?  
So that's when I pressed the button - published! Website Live! Only time will tell if this was the right decision, but I'm trusting that it is...as New Old Blues sings, "I'm walking out slow" "trying not to look back", taking each step to see where it takes me...
