As a little challenge for the summer I signed up for the 'Make It In Design' summer school, hosted by The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design, who this year teamed up with the lovely people at Patternbank, to bring us our first trend based brief on the theme of Meadowland... a trend which continues to inspire throughout 2016 ... From the grasslands of the prairie to the free spirited floral's of the meadow...these delicate flowers can be seen on items by designers such as Alexander McQueen, Erdem and Valentino.
Away from the catwalk, meadows and wild flowers as you may know, whilst looking beautiful, play such an important role, in helping to keep our dwindling population of bees alive... if you would like to learn more about the different types of British wildflowers check out this site here, or if you feel inspired to have a go at making your own wild flower garden, the Wild About Gardens website might have just the info you need...

Hello! In this space which has no ceilings, walls or doors... I would like to invite you in, and share with you some of my work and a few things of interest which help to inspire my illustrations, including music to the places and spaces we call home...
