Little Affordable Artworks - ACEO's

I like to work small, to be honest I haven't got the space to work on large canvases, especially those that need be left to dry for days on end...

Plus I'm quite aware that not everyone has large studio loft apartments with masses of wall space, so I like to work on a smaller more affordable pieces. Small artworks on paper, and I have to say you can't get much smaller than an ACEO!  Well you probably can, but you know what I'm saying, overall these small collectable cards are ideal for framing, displaying on a shelf or collecting in an album.

For those not in the know, an ACEO - which stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals, are miniature works of art, standing at just 2.5" x 3.5", these little pieces of art are both popular and highly collectable.  Offering an affordable entry point for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

From an Artist's point of view, including my own, the small scale is less intimidating than a large page, I find it encourages me to be more playful, less concerned about being wasteful if something doesn't turn out how I would like... the picture above shows an afternoon spent creating these abstract pieces, all created on quality watercolour paper, using a combination of watercolour paint, ink, and coffee...I feel that some worked better than others, but overall I like the results...I would love to know what you think?  Are they something that you might purchase?
