At this time of year in January as everywhere gears up for Valentine's day it's all about feeling the love! If you read last weeks post you would have heard me talk about bringing my artwork back home, to doing something that I love, that feels like me... Whilst I don't want to make this all about me, I'm an introvert after all, I wanted to share a bit of context to the new change of direction, share with you one of the things that really makes my heart sing! That thing is Architecture! Whilst I love green spaces, buildings new or old, Brutalist, Modernist, you name it...shape, form, little details like how light falls on steps, I love it...there is something about it, that I just find so interesting and inspiring. It goes so much deeper than that too, more philosophical, but I'll save that for another day; For now I feel drawn to these places & spaces, which help to inform the work that I do, albeit in a very abstract way, such as the curves and colours of the buildings in the photographs I took on a visit to the City of Salford, Manchester, England, a little while ago.
On the Studio playlist this week I'm listening to Max McNown - here's one of my favourite's from his album it's called - Better Me For You - I thought the title was quite apt...Enjoy! Thanks as always for reading - see you next week.

Hello! In this space which has no ceilings, walls or doors... I would like to invite you in, and share with you some of my work and a few things of interest which help to inspire my work including music to the places and spaces we call home...
