DH Lawrence

14/9/2014

David Herbert Lawrence or DH Lawrence as he is most commonly known was one of England's most influential and controversial writers of the 20th Century. To celebrate the life and work of this working class lad the DH Lawrence Heritage centre in the town of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire is hosting it's annual DH Lawrence festival, until the 25th of September 2014.

If you would like to follow in the footsteps of a literary legend, you can walk the Blue Line Trail around Eastwood or if you venture a little further you can walk through the surrounding countryside, which helped to provide much of the inspiration for Sons and Lovers, one of my all time favourite books. As you walk along the Blue Line Trail, you notice the 'ordinary' and 'the everyday',  the little things of daily life that Lawrence was able to describe so beautifully...

    Hello!

In this space which has no ceilings, walls or doors... I would like to invite you in, and share with you some of my work and a few things of interest which help to inspire my illustrations, including music to the places and spaces we call home...
