Art for Your Office Space...

In last weeks blog post I wrote about Canon's House in Bristol, the former regional headquarters for Lloyds bank, a building that is being refurbished and repurposed, creating amongst other things new office spaces when it opens in 2027.

Initially I imagine these spaces will be a blank canvas, but Art in the office / work space, can really help to reduce those plain, sterile walls, helping to create a welcoming space for visitors and clients.

Thoughtfully chosen wall art not only helps to elevate your professional environment for visitors, numerous studies have shown that Art can boost productivity, and well as reducing employee stress, simply put the impact of the workplace environment matters!

More than that, adding artwork to your office space can help to tell your story - giving subtle clues to your company values, whilst enhancing your brand image.

In particular abstract art can be engaging without being distracting,  helping to compliment office design, especially modern office spaces.

Just as colour has the power to impact mood, so too can different forms of Art...So when choosing consider whether you want bright, bold and colourful pieces, or are you looking for a calmer, more meditative pieces? Think about the energy of the room, how you want it to feel?
Some of this will all depend on the type of work that takes place in your space - Big bold pieces might work in one situation, where smaller pieces may be better for others, take time to consider you office's overall aesthetic, before you make a decision - it definitely will be worth it...
